Sunday Afternoon, the Yankees completed a 3 game sweep of the Kansas City Royals with a 6-3 victory. Alex Rodriguez hit his 52nd homerun, and Chien-Ming Wang threw 7 inning of 3 run ball to lead the Yankees to victory.

Chien-Ming Wange threw seven innings, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 5. Wang (18-6), who ranks second in the American League in winning percentage (.750) lowered his ERA to 3.69. The Yankees have won eight of Wang’s last nine starts.

Offensively, Alex Rodriguez hit his 52nd homerun of the season. A-Rod’s homerun was his his fourth of the series and seventh in the Yankees’ past five games. Jorge Posada broke a 3-3 tie with a two-run double in the fifth inning, givng the Yankees the lead for good.

The Yankees will continue their road trip on Teuday night in Toronto for a 3 game set against the Blue Jays. Phile hughes is scheduled to start game 1 for the Yanks.
