Tuesday Night at the Stadium was a complete disaster for the Yankees, as they got pummled 12-0 by the Orioles. Jeff Karstens, in a fill in roel for Roger Clemens, was shelled early, and the Yankee offense was held to just 2 hits.

Jeff Karstens lasted just three innings, giving up five hits and five runs. The Yankees right-hander walked four and struck out one in the losing effort, dropping to 0-2 on the season. Aubrey Huff hit a grand slam in the third inning, which started the snowball effect.

Offensively, the Yankees were held to just 2 hits. Hideki Matsui picked up the Yanks first hit of the game with one out in the fourth inning, and Alex Rodriguez added a dribbler that went for a hit in the sixth.

The Yankees look to take the rubber gameof the series on Wednesday afternoon, when Phil hughes take son Erik Bedard.
