The Yankees signed their final arbitration-eligible player, Brian Bruney, to a one-year deal for a reported $1.25 million. The number falls in between the $1.55 million that Bruney requested and the $1.1 million that the Yankees offered.

Brian Bruney was injured most of last season, but when he saw late season action, he had pretty good numbers out of the bullpen. Bruney finished 3-0 with a 1.83 ERA and 33 strikeouts in 34 1/3 innings.
