     Today the Yanks try for the four game sweep of the Blue Jays. With Wang (10-4 3.43 era) today going for his 11th win of the season, look for him to go deep into the game, 7 or 8 innings. In his last three starts he’s 3-0 1.40 and is 10-5 against the Jays lifetime. If he goes deep into the game holding a lead, hopefully Torre will rely on Vizcaino today for the 8th or 9th, instead of using Proctor or Rivera, who has made appearances in 5 of the last 6 games.

I like the Yanks chances today even though I’m not sure who will be starting behind the plate today, probably Nieves. In any case I like the Yanks to extend it to 7 straight behind Wang. As long as they keep Farnsworth off the mound today, unless it’s 10 - 0 either way, the Yanks will send the Jays back home on a 4 game skid.

I’m convinced now that you cannot count this team out of October. They are finding so many ways to win right now if it’s a balk to tie the game or the unusually aggressiveness on the bases they seem like they are not giving up games to get to those dinner reservations. A Rod and Phillips have been clutch, Melky, Jete and Cano have been putting the ball in the gaps to start rallies and drive those runners in from second.  Pu your money on the Yanks to continue it today. Let’s Go Yanks!
Oh yeah…today is the 97th anniversary of Cy Young’s 500th win, I just thought I’d throw that in.
