YANKEES 2
METS 11

Sunday night at the Stadium, the Yankees dropped their second straight to the Mets, 11-2. Chien-Ming Wang ran into trouble in the 4th inning, and the Yankee offense only managed 3 hits for the game.

Chien-Ming Wang breezed through the first 3 innings, but ran into troublein the 4th inning. Wang allowed four runs on four hits in the fourth inning, and was charged with seven runs on six hits, while walking three and striking out one in 7 2/3 innings.

Offensively, the Yankees only managed 3 hits. The only runs came on a 2 run homerun by Hideki Matsui in the sixth inning. There was nothing else to even speak about.

Tuesday, expect to see Alex Rodriguez to be back in the lineup for the Yankees, which will hopefully get the offense jump started when they face the Baltimore Orioles.

GAME NOTES:
WANG: 7.2IP, 7ER, 6H, 1SO
MATSUI: 1-4, HR, 2 RBI
