YANKEES 1
BLUE JAYS 4

On Sunday, the Yankees played their final game of the 1st half of the season, as they fell to the Toronto Blue Jays, 4-1. The Yankees head into the All-Star Break losing 3 of their last 4 games. Andy Pettitte took the mound for the Yankees, and had a rough 2nd inning in which he gave up 4 runs, and the Yankee offense once agian looked horrible.

Andy Pettitte allowed four runs on eight hits, while striking out six in six innings. In the second inning, Pettitte surrendered a 3 run homerun to Marco Scutaro. After the Yankees trailed 4-0, Pettitte shit down th eJays the rest of the way.

Onec agian, the Yankee offense looked pitiful. The only run came on a 9th inning solo homerun by Jason Giambi. Other than that run, the Yankees would only manage 6 hits in total.

The Yankee head into the All-Star break at 50-45, and losing 3 out of 4 games. The Yankees are 6 games behind Boston in the AL East.

GAME NOTES:
