YANKEES 0
OAKLAND 7

Another Saturday afternoon at the Stadium, and yet another embarrasing loss for the Yankees. The Yankees were 1 hit by a no name (Chad Gaudin), and lost 7-0.

Kei Igawa, who retired the first eight batters he faced, struck out four and walked three, allowing five hits and four runs in 6 1/3 innings. Scott Proctor and Mike Myers combined to pitch one-third of an inning, surrendering four hits, a walk and three runs. Great Bullpen work!!

Offensively, the Yankees were 1 hit, and the only hit of the game was a single by Johnny Damon in the 6th inning. The Yankees should be embarrassed.

The Yankees look to avoid losing yet another series tomorrow, when they face off against the A’s in the rubbe rmatch of the series. This should be a great pitching match up, Andy Pettitte vs Dan Haren. Do not be surprised if the Yanks get NO HITTED this time.

GAME NOTES:
IGAWA: 6.1 IP, 4 ER, 4 H, 4 SO
YANKEE BATS: NEVER SHOWED UP (1-28)
