Ok..so it’s time for a rant on my part. You remember these from last season… it’s those times where something annoys me to the point of not being able to take it anymore (usuallu involving Kyle Farnsworth or Michael Kay). Well..time to RANT!!!

Aside from the fact that I think moving Joba Chamberlain to a starters role is a VERY BAD idea… and I will give my three main reasons here:
1) They have no “Set up” man, and if they think that Kyle Farnsworth is a set up man, then enjoy watching the Yankees blow 95% of thier 8th inning leads if it’s a close game.
2) Joba Chamberlain can’t pitch in a starters role, because everytime he goes more than an inning, he gets hit hard… and he has to drop his fastball from 98mph to about 91mph, making him an average pitcher.
3) A set up man on this team of his talent level, is more important than a Starter, because he can be used to win 3 games a week instead of 1.

NOW..aside from that… my main rant is the dumbest comments to be possibly made by the Yankees, their broadcasters, and anyone else involved… and here it is…

After Joba Chamberlain came in to pitch an inning for Andy Pettitte, and bridge the gap to Mariano Rivera last night.. a certain announcer(s) said

“This is exactly why the Yankees are making this move. This was a great example of the effectiveness of the process to making Joba a starter. It worked out perfectly tonight”.

^^^ DUMB ASSES….. He came in to be the SET UP man for the night, just like he ALWAYS has done. If anything, it shows that the process is NOT working…because it showed that they still need him to pitch the 8th inning to get to MO.

WHO do the Yankees and thier Broadcaster think they are kidding?? Either they are really LOST, or they are just playing a bad game of kiss ass!!
A NORMAL and COMMON SENSE way to put the “Joba as a Starter” plan in effect, would be to give him Ian Kennedy’s start, and let him pitch however many innings or pitches he needs, and then have Kennedy take the game over. BUT instead, they put him in AFTER Andy Pettitte pitches???? Gee….I WONDER why?? Maybe because they are keeping him as a set up man while trying to get him pitches, because they have no other option????

WAKE UP…. Stop Sugar Coating things to make it sound like things are working…. when it’s not reality.
