Wednesday night at the Stadium, the Yankees lost their second consecutive game to the Indians, 3-0. Chien-Ming Wang picked up his first loss of the season, although he pitched very well. Clevelands pitcher, Cliff Lee shutout the Yankees, and continued his hot start.

Chien-Ming Wang (6-1) pitched 7 innings, givng up only 3 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 4 Indians. Wang pitched a good game, but was outdone by Cliff Lee who gave up 0 runs on 6 hits.

The only offensive note is that Hideki Matsui extended his hitting streak to 16 games in the loss, equaling his career high.
