Robinson Cano went 0-for-2 with a walk and is now in an 0-for-10 slump over the last three games. His brief slump has come at the tail end of a three-game streak of multi-hit games, but manager Joe Torre had him in the No. 8 spot for Wednesday’s game with Bobby Abreu being moved up to the sixth slot. Cano is hitting a disappointing .268 with three homers and 32 RBI along with 22 doubles, after hitting .342 with 15 homers and 78 RBI and 41 doubles last season, but he posted similar first half totals before hitting .365 with 11 homers and 51 RBI after the All-Star break a year ago.
