The Yankees placed Jorge Posada on the disabled list Monday. Posada will have an MRI on his right shoulder today, and will then make a decision regarding season-ending surgery.
Posada spent 32 games on the disabled list earlier this season with right rotator cuff tendinitis. When Posada returned he spent alot of time at DH, due to the fact that he can not throw properly. Jose Molina has filled in at catcher most of this season, and has been outstanding behind the plate, which may be the reason why Posada is considering handling his injury now, rather than in the off season.
Stay tuned for more info.
