YANKEES 3
BLUE JAYS 14

Thursday night in Toronto, the Yankees lost yet another series, this time to the Blue Jays. Not only did the Yankees lose the series, but they got embarrassed, 14-3. Sidney Ponson had a horrible outing, as so did the Yankee bullpen, and the offense was bad again.

Sidney Ponson pitched 2 innings, giving up 7 runs on 8 hits. The bullpen did no better, as Dave Robertson gave up 2 runs in 1 1/3 inning, and Billy Traber gave up 4 runs in 2 2/3 innings.
The Yankees actually trailed by a score of 13-0.

Offensively, the lone bright spot was a Hideki Matsui 3 run homer in the 7th inning.

Unless the Yankees are planning on rolling off about 10 straight…this post season run is OVER!!!

GAME NOTES:
PONSON:
2IP, 8H, 7ER
MATSUI: 1-4, HR, 3RBI
