Former Yankees second baseman Chuck Knoblauch agreed Monday to talk to a House committee investigating drug use in baseball, and the session was postponed until later this week.
The appearance is in preparation for a Feb. 13 hearing, which is to include Knoblauch, Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte. Also scheduled to testify are Brian McNamee, the former personal trainer for Clemens and Pettitte, and former Mets clubhouse attendant Kirk Radomski.
MY question is.. “What is the point???”
The guy does not play baseball anymore, so who really cares?
This whole thing has gotten to a point, where Congress is just trying to prove a point like they have nothing better to do. What does taking retired players into congress really accomplish??
Lets say Knoblauch says “I did steroids” …then what?? IT changes NOTHING…it doesnt improve the current situation either. The whole popint of congress and baseball was to “Take steps towards eliminating steroid use” …yet all it has done is turned into a manhunt for players who dont even play the game anymore.
Note to congress: GIVE IT UP ALREADY…you look stupid!!! You are proving NOTHING, You are not improving the current situation. Get your head out of your asses for once …and do something worthwhile!!
