Manager Joe Torre has considered using Damon at the DH spot during the series against the Blue Jays beginning on Monday, the Newark Star-Ledger reports. He’ll test his calves prior to game time, which will ultimately play a major role in Torre’s decision. If Damon is in the DH spot, it would likely mean a day or two off for Jason Giambi, who continues to deal with heel problems.
