Joe Girardi tried to lose the Subway Series Finale on Sunday afternoon, and succeeded. Girardi came up with one of the worst possible lineups that he could possibly throw out there to play the Final game of the subway series.

In a series that means alot fo the New York Fans, and Yankee fans, Joe Girardi put out a lineup that looked like this:
NY Yankees
Damon
Jeter
Rodriguez
Posada
Betemit
Cabrera
Molina
Christian
Rasner, P

Joe Girardi basically threw the final game of the series for some reason.
Rasner (4-6) held the Mets to just two runs on eight hits, and pitched well enough to get a win, but the Yankees bats could not do the job. Rasner was lifted after 5 innings, and replaced with rookie David Robertson , who gave up a run in his first inning of work, but came back with a scoreless 7th inning. The Yankees fell in the game 3-1.

The Yankees are now done with Inter-League play, and will face the Texas Rangers in a 3 game series starting on Monday at Yankee Stadium.

GAME NOTES:
RASNER: 5IP, 8H, 2ER, 3SO
JETER: 2-4
