Austin Romine was drafted in the second round by the Yankees, out of high school in Lake Forest, California. Romine has a power arm and should be a solid defensive catcher with more experience. His bat has some power in it, but his approach needs to be refined and he probably won’t advance quickly. He’ll have to be bought out of Arizona State but the Yankees can afford to do that.
