Horne is 4-2, 2.72 in nine starts for Double-A Trenton, with a 66/11 K/BB ratio in 53 innings. Horne has had a wild ride. He was a top prospect in high school and a first round pick by the Indians back in 2001, but he didn’t sign. His college career at Mississippi and Florida was marred by injuries and inconsistency, and he was just an 11th round pick in ‘05. He had a shaky season last year in the Florida State League, but has really blossomed this year, returning to his high school form, showing excellent command of an above average fastball and a good curve. Stick him on your prospect lists.
