Thats right…. he may have already did it. Alex Rodriguez may have hit his 500th homerun against Gil Meche the other night in Kansas City.

The umpires are given special baseballs with holograms, so when Arod hits 500, they can identify it….. however..it will really be homerun 493, if Arod homers in his at bat in Game 1 vs Baltimore Friday. Due to the game being suspended, the stats for that game have not become “official” yet. So basically, when the final inning of that game is played on Friday July 26 (today), if he homers, he officially will have 500 home runs, which means his 500th homerun was off of Gil Meche Wednesday night in Kansas City. I wonder who has the ball??

The fun part is going to see the reaction of Yankee broadcasters and MLB when they realize that after the game, AROD has 500 homeruns. lol

There are a few more questions….since the game is in the 8th, who pitches bottom 8? Toree can’t use Viscaino, he’s already been used, so do you go with Farnsworth? or will Mariano have to warm up as a starting pitcher and pitch 2 innings.

Can you use Shelly Duncan or Jose Molina as pinch hitters??? They weren’t on the roster then…..

It’s going to be a funny end to this one

      Good questions.
I would think they would bring Mariano Rivera in, being that its a save situation. I really do NOT want to see Farnsworth, because this “automatic win”, will turn into a nightmare. lol
Im not sure about Molina and Duncan…. hopefully it doesnt have to come to that!! :)

 Once again greedy Fox Sports robs millions of fans of an historic moment in baseball. On one more blackout Saturday Fox makes it so fans can not see the baseball game they want to see while Fox offers up whichever dull games they choose. Well today they deprived many thousands of Yankee fans from seeing A Rod hit his 500th home run. When will this monopolistic practice be stopped once and for all?

Today I sent the following to Fox Sports:

STOP!!! Keeping millions of baseball fans from seeing the baseball game they want to see. It’s only your monopolistic desire to get more fans to watch whichever games you choose to show. This is mean and selfish. TODAY you kept thousands of Yankee fans who live out-of-market from watching live A Rod hit his historic 500th home run. Personally, I am going to stop watching HOUSE in protest. I am also going to send emails to everyone I know to do the same thing. You MUST stop this abhorrent practice. Michael Jay Roberts
